Multi-candle patterns — Morning Star, Soldiers, Three-Line Strike.
Three confirming bars are harder to fake than one — and one pattern resolves opposite to its name.

Reversal trios — Morning Star और Evening Star
Evening Star — top पर bearish reversal। तीन bars:

ऊपर वाला NIFTY example एक textbook Evening Star है — बीच में gap-up indecision, तीसरी bar पर decisive bear close, और तीसरी bar पर confirm करता volume।
Morning Star — bottom पर mirror image। Strong bear candle → indecision (अक्सर gap-down) → strong bull candle जो पहली bear candle के midpoint के ऊपर close हो। Bullish reversal।
Middle candle hinge है। उसकी छोटी body market का कहना है "मैंने अपना मन बदला"। तीसरी candle market का उस बदलाव पर act करना है।
Star pattern की middle bar असली काम कर रही होती है। उस छोटी-body वाली hinge के बिना तुम्हारे पास दो opposite candles हैं, जो Star नहीं है — सिर्फ़ दो opposite candles हैं। Middle की indecision वो है जो reversal को credible बनाती है।
Continuation trios — Three White Soldiers और Three Black Crows
Three White Soldiers — bullish continuation। तीन लगातार bull candles जहाँ:
- हर candle की real body हो (Doji नहीं)
- हर successive open पिछली candle की body के अंदर land हो — उसके ऊपर नहीं
- हर close पिछले close से ऊँचा हो
वो "open inside prior body" condition real continuation और parabolic blow-off के बीच का फ़र्क़ है। Parabolic move में हर candle पिछले close से ऊपर open होती है — एक gap-and-run pattern जो लगभग हमेशा reverse होता है। Three White Soldiers pattern grinding higher है, हर bar पिछली bar की range के अंदर start। Buyers dips absorb कर रहे हैं ऊपर push करने से पहले। वो durable है।
Three Black Crows mirror है — तीन लगातार bear candles, हर एक पिछली body के अंदर open, हर एक नीचे close। Bearish continuation।
Three-Line Strike — counter-directional वाला
यही वो pattern है जो ज़्यादातर traders को confuse करता है, और वही moat है जो serious engine को textbook scanner से अलग करता है।
"Bearish Three-Line Strike" pattern तीन down candles के बाद एक चौथी candle है जो तीनों को वापस strike कर देती है। नाम naively पढ़ो — "bearish" बताता है — ज़्यादातर retail traders pattern को downward move के continuation की तरह treat करते हैं।
Thomas Bulkowski का candle patterns पर empirical research (इस field का standard reference) इसका उल्टा पाता है। Bearish Three-Line Strike bearishly resolve होने से ज़्यादा बार bullishly resolve होता है — चार-candle structure reversal है, continuation नहीं। "Bullish Three-Line Strike" उसी logic से bearishly resolve होता है।
Pattern का नाम पहली तीन candles की appearance पर रखा गया है, resolution पर नहीं। लगभग हर textbook explanation इन्हें उल्टा बताता है।
Three-Line Strike अपने नाम के opposite resolve होता है। "Bearish" = bullish resolution; "Bullish" = bearish resolution। यह Bulkowski की empirical finding है। अगर तुम इसे नाम पर trade करते हो, तुम इसे ulta trade कर रहे हो।
Engine multi-candle patterns को कैसे handle करता है
Lesson 9 की single-candle scoring पर build करते हुए, multi-candle patterns को Candlestick engine के अंदर extra weight मिलता है — दो reasons से।
एक single candle pattern chance से form हो सकता है। Specific body, gap, और close conditions वाला तीन-bar sequence randomly produce करना कहीं ज़्यादा मुश्किल है। Engine इसे recognise करता है और multi-candle patterns को single-candle से ज़्यादा weight assign करता है, all else equal।
Engine जानता है कि Three-Line Strike अपने नाम के opposite resolve होता है। वो "Bearish Three-Line Strike" को naively SELL signal में map नहीं करता। Internally, resolution direction वो है जो vote को feed करती है — तो user को trap याद रखने की ज़रूरत नहीं। यही exactly वो detail है जो textbook scanner miss करता है और एक well-built engine background में संभाल लेता है।
Candlestick engine का final vote फिर Indicator engine (lesson 8 ने तुम्हारे लिए close किया) और Smart Money engine (Playbooks track) के साथ combine होकर वो signal produce करता है जो scanner पर दिखता है। पहले देखा हुआ BUY+ का मतलब है: Indicator engine agreed, Candlestick engine ने meaningful weight वाले multi-bar pattern से confirm किया, और Smart Money structure align हुआ — तीनों engines और probability high-conviction line के ऊपर।
